Craft Overload.

Dear Readers,

Do you ever feel like you’re having craftproject overload? Not that you are overloaded from doing one craft but that your craft to-do list has become so long it’s overwhelming you?

I have been feeling a bit like this at the moment. I have many craft interests and in each category I have a number of projects that I want to do and that I already have the supplies for! Here are some of the things that I do:

Tappestry

So I have not actually done any tapestries before and the only ones I have in my stash are two copies of this design. It was gifted to me by one of my Scottish relatives. I really enjoy this but it does take quite a long time and there is a large canvas to cover. Heehee. I am thinking of hanging these in my livingroom when they are eventually done.

Knitting!

This won’t come as a surprise to any regular readers of my blog. And I have a very long list of projects I want to knit.

Crochet

I have an equally long list of crochet projects ๐Ÿ˜€

Spinning

I have 7 bats waiting to be spun. This is a hobby that I do on and off. I tend to obsessivly spin for a couple of days until the bat is done and then not spin for a couple of months.

Embroidery

This is another one of my on again off again craft loves. I have a large collection of embroidery thread and patterns which have been pre-printed on fabric which I inherited from my mother and my grandmother. I also have a collection of cross stitch kits which I compulsively buy whenever Hobby Craft has a sale. :’D

I also like to do research on the history of knitting and Crochet and write up theories and ideas.

This leaves me a very busy person… oh yes! Let us not forget the housework. Haha!

Sometimes it feels like it’s just me who has a crazy long list of projects but then I discovered this post by Highland Heffalump and I discovered this Ravelry group. So now at least even though I am swimming in a giant list of things to do, I don’t feel so alone in it. ๐Ÿ˜€

I hope that you are doing well this week.

Peace and love
Ellie

  1. These are some great ideas! I can’t wait to see more. I recently decided to start me own blog to share my passion for crafting. Yours looks so great, how long have you been blogging?

  4. Please feel free to join our Group on Ravelry. There’s an introduction page where you can introduce yourself. You just need to create a list of what you’d like to achieve before the end of June 2020 and share that on a blog post and put that link in our weekly folders and then each Sunday do a post on your blog where you update your progress. Some members skip weeks and that’s fine. If you don’t feel ready yet then you could start drafting your list for the Group’s Year 10, which starts 1st July 2020. It’s a lovely community of crafters and a great way to find some interesting blogs to read. ๐Ÿ™‚
