Basic Knitted Basketweave Beanie

Dear Readers,

I want to tell you about my latest knitting pattern that I have published and it is the Basic knitted Basketweave Beanie.

This pattern is aimed at an advanced beginner level as you need to know how to knit, how to purl, how to decrease and how to knit in the round. That being said I have included a video tutorial on how to knit in the round using magic loop method. Although the pattern was designed for magic loop as that is how I knit in the round, if you are more comfortable with dpn’s or a smaller circular needle there is no reason that you couldn’t do that with this pattern.

This pattern was desined to be knit with double knitting yarn and 4mm needles.

What is special about this pattern is that I have continued the basketweave pattern up into the crown decreases.

The pattern includes both written instructions and charts so that you can work with what ever you feel most comfortable with.

It can also be worn two ways, one with the brim rolled for a more fitted look or with the brim flat for a slightly more slouchy look.
