Happy birthday Mom

This last weekend was my mom’s birthday and for the first time in 5 years I got to celebrate with her!

On Friday we took her out for a celebratory breakfast. Then I went with my parents to view a house. Then in the afternoon my mom and I went shopping for picnic stuff for Saturday. And in the evening we had a pizza night where we bought pizza bases and did our own toppings.

I baked my mom a Banana loaf because I know she needs to be careful of what she eats, this way we know that there are no added sulphites. Also you can freeze banana loaf so she doesn’t need to eat it all at once.

On Saturday we went for a drive to Eyemouth, Coldham, (we walked to St Abbs) and then we had a picnic at Belhaven before driving back home the scenic route.

I am not going to lie… The picnic was very cold. It was 8°C even in the sun. But I think it was character building 😂 definitely a memorable experience.

Most importantly my mother really enjoyed the day!
